Minutes away are swimming beaches, trails, Caulfield Shopping Centre and schools. Recreation Centre, Community Centre and the picturesque village of Dundarave are nearby. Through West Vancouver recreation board, during the summer there are many kids activities offered. A few minute walk away the house is one street back from the shore are swimming beaches Parthenon Beach and Kew Park.

Nearby amenities include kilometers of sea view and mountain walking trails, Eagle Harbour Yacht Club, Gleneagles nine-hole golf course. The house is less than 90 minute drive to Whistler Resort, - Home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, 20 minutes to downtown Vancouver, and one mile from ferries to Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Seattle is two and a half hours south and beautiful Victoria, and The Sunshine Coast is a scenic Gulf Island ferry trip away.

For those who enjoy a slower pace, take a short ferry ride to Bowen Island and take a guided walk or bird-watching tour around the island, experiencing the flora and fauna of Bowen Island to its fullest. Whytecliff Marine Parks rugged shoreline and cobble beach in Horseshoe Bay is nearby. Upwards of 200 marine animal species, with exotic names such as the speckled sand dab or the sunflower sea star call these waters home. Beside the beach, interpretive signs explain in words and pictures the variety of marine life to be found beneath the waves.

If it is fishing or boating that you seek, see the nearby marina and explore beautiful Howe-Sound, only 10 minute drive away. Kayaking anywhere on the North Shore can be arranged.

One of the highlights and by far the longest hiking route on the North Shore is the almost 30-mile 48-km Baden-Powell Trail, the thread that knits the North Shore together into one continuous strand. The trail runs between its western terminus at Horseshoe Bay and Deep Cove on North Vancouver's eastern perimeter. Along the way, it climbs and descends a well-trodden route that passes through both Cypress and Mount Seymour Provincial Parks. Altogether there are 12 entrances to the Baden-Powell Trail, most of which are located conveniently close to public transportation.
